Summer is almost over and although fun trips to the beach, conventions, and mahragan are coming to an end, the new school year is an opportunity for you to learn new things, make new friends, and become a better person! Here are some tips to help you do your best this school year:
- Sleep early
I know that during the summer, we all like to stay up late, but sleeping late during school will prevent you from focusing in class. Try training your body to sleep early a week before school starts, so that you’ll be used to it by the beginning of school. - Organize your backpack the night before
School mornings can be very stressful as everyone is rushing to get ready and leave on time to catch the school bus. By packing your lunch, books, and other materials the day before, you can focus on simply getting ready and you won’t be late for school. - Eat a good breakfast
Eating breakfast gives you energy so that you can concentrate on school, play and have fun! Make sure that your breakfast is healthy and full of nutrients. - Choose a study area
Whether that be a couch, your desk, or your basement, pick a place to study and make it a habit to study there. Make sure there are no distractions around like a TV, Xbox, or your phone. - Pray before you go to school and before you study
Praying before going to school helps start your day right. It plants a positive attitude within you and reassures you that God is with you in every step of the way, whether on a test or simply throughout your normal school activities. Just like God was with David and made him successful, leaning on God and asking Him to be there in everything you do will make you successful too!
“In everything David did he had great success, because the LORD was with him” (1 Samuel 18:14)
